Lodging
The wedding will be held at Sunshine & Soil Farms in Hood River, Oregon.
Hood River fills up quickly in Summer, but we were still surprised to find that most hotel options are already limited or booked for June. Below are the practical places to look for stays, with distances and what to expect.
PORTLAND / VANCOUVER METRO
Drive to venue: ~60–75 minutes
Best for: Most hotel rooms and rentals available, lots of choices across budgets.
• Good base if Hood River options are booked
• Easy access from Portland International Airport (PDX)
STEVENSON / CARSON HOT SPRINGS
Drive to venue: ~35–45 minutes
Best for: A scenic stay closer than Portland.
• Some vacation rentals and cabins in this corridor
• Carson Hot Springs has on-site lodging options
• Quiet, forested, and scenic vibe
BINGEN / WHITE SALMON
Drive to venue: ~20–25 minutes
Best for: Closest to the couple's home-base, small-town vibe, easy access to the Gorge.
• The couple lives in White Salmon, just across the river from Hood River.
• Small town with great coffee, bakeries, and views of the Gorge.
• Bingen, down the street, is home to the Society Hotel with has soaking pools and a sauna. Great weekend option!
• Quiet, forested, and scenic vibe
HOOD RIVER
Drive to venue: ~10–15 minutes
Best for: Classic Gorge town feel, restaurants, breweries.
• Hood River has the most restaurants and walkable downtown energy.
• If you find availability that works for you, it’s an excellent option.
